We've got good news for you, no longer is this pain necessary. ![head view in timber and in timber and metal.jpg](https://info.freewayfixings.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Product%20Images/head%20view%20in%20timber%20and%20in%20timber%20and%20metal.jpg?width=640&name=head%20view%20in%20timber%20and%20in%20timber%20and%20metal.jpg) Designed in the UK to overcome the shortcomings of coach bolts and threaded rods,  Joyner Bolt will solve 4 standard problems you would have come across:  **1/ Bolt doesn't grip** With a coach bolt is doesn't take much for it to start slipping making it very difficult to tighten enough.  If using threaded rod you need to reach both sides of the joist at the same time.  Not with Joyner Bolt.  Thanks to the large spiked head on the bolt, it locates easily and can even be installed with a single hand, ideal for those hard to reach places.  **2/ Exactly the right size hole has to be drilled** With a coach bolt you have to drill the exact right hole size to reduce the chance of spinning which then can make it tricky pushing the bolt through.  With Joyner Bolt the size of the hole is not critical, use what drill bits you have to hand providing they are under 25mm.  **3/ Bolt head pulls into the timber** If you don' use a washer over the head of a coach bolt it can pull itself into the timber which can weaken the joint.  Joyner Bolt's large square head won't be going anywhere giving you the ultimate connection.  **4/ Less different sizes of washers required ** To use a washer over the head of a coach bolt you have to use a washer size up to go over the square, for example for an M12 you'd need some M16 washers for the head and M12 washers for the nut end, how confusing is that! With Joyner Bolt all you need is 1 Joyner Bolt, 1 plate washer and 1 nut.
